Product Code: VB1X-1 Price: Check Latest Cascade Sound Dampening Products VB-1x   -  one - 5 Gallon Bucket VB-1x is an air curing, liquid damping compound.  Its combination of silica-mica, ceramics and an advanced chemical binder greatly reduces structural resonance by converting vibration into "viscous" friction or low level heat.  It is purple in color when applied and changes to matte black when dry.  VB-1X can be applied with CAE's SG-1 spray gun.  It can also be applied with a paint brush or roller.  VB-1x works fantastic when applied to the interior of speaker and subwoofer enclosures.  While still wet, clean up is easy with soap and water. VB-1x is especially great for those "economical" pre-made sub enclosures!  Enclosure vibration reduces SPL and negatively effects frequency response.   Reduced vibration means less distortion and BETTER SOUND!   Immune to freezing, Indefinite shelf life, sprays like paint, waterproof. Can be applied to the outside of a vehicle ( fender wells, underbody, etc.) Stays pliable.....Will not chip   WHERE SHOULD I USE VB-1x? Applying VB-1x to the inside of your woofer enclosure will seal it, reduce or eliminate cabinet vibration and increase SPL! Sprayable- Can be applied to just about any surface VB-1LV is a low viscosity, visco-elastic, liquid based damping material. This smooth formulation has been engineered specifically for spray application. Applying VB-1LV to larger surface areas and loudspeaker enclosures can be accomplished easily when sprayed with Cascade Audio Engineering?s SG-1 spray gun. VB-1LV now incorporates corrosion inhibitors and will not break down when exposed to water or harsh fluids.     VB-1LV effectively damps vibration in metal, plastic, fiberglass, and wood.  It does so by, converting vibration energy into viscous friction or low level heat.  Once cured VB-1LV is light weight, odorless and three times the damping of any asphaltic sheet material.VB-1LV is available in 1 gallon, 5 gallon and a new 18 oz. aerosol can.
